Coordination with other Departments
Dennis Hogan is high-lighting his prior government
experience in pointing out he will provide effective
interaction between the County Attorney's office and other
government departments.
The County attorney's office interacts with the Courts,
local police departments and the state attorney general’s
office. The ability to effectively prosecute criminals
depends of the smooth interaction of these departments.
As the leader of the County Attorney office the 'County
Attorney' must be an excellent communicator
I intend to establish a feed back process so that
departments explain to each other what they plan do with
the cases sent to them.
There was a great deal of acrimony between the Nashua
Board of Education and the Board of Alderman prior to
Hogan’s election to the BOE. “I worked on the Policy
Committee to fix the BOE’s process. The improved
process and my calm personality helped repair the
working relationship between the boards. The same sills
and attributes will help the County Attorney’s office with
the government departments it interacts with.”
.
'I have always practiced communication as two parts
listening to every one part talking. I am committed to
meeting regularly with each police chief.' Hogan said.
Dennis Hogan, candidate for Hillsborough County

the New Hampshire House of Representatives in 1985
and 1986. Hogan served in the last Constitutions
Convention in 1984.
Hogan graduated form Nashua High School in 1982, from
University of New Hampshire in Durham with a B.A. in
Political Science in 1986 and from Franklin Pierce Law
Center in 2002.
Hogan is remembered by law enforcement for winning the
Republican nomination for State Senate District 13 with
an historic write-in campaign against Thomas Alciere-
sometimes referred to as the “cop killer advocate.”

October 8, 2010 - Communication
Dennis Hogan intends to make better communication the
focus of improvements to the County Attorney’s office.
Hillsborough County Attorney's office receives its case
load of felony accusations from the city and town police
departments. Communication between the police and the
county's prosecutors is critical to the successful
prosecution of cases, Hogan points out. The attorneys
need to receive full and clear facts from the police, while
the police need feed back about the needs of the
assistant county attorneys.
“Naturally, communication is a two way street. I have
found that listening twice as much as talking is a good
start to good communication. I am committed to regular
meetings with individual chiefs of police. Together we will
develop the best practice for communication between the
departments and county's office,” Hogan said.

Dennis Hogan touted his management experience in his
campaign to become Hillsborough County Attorney at
Manchester Ward 2 GOP Committee’s dinner Thursday
September 23, 2010 at the Chateau Restaurant.
The Hillsborough County Attorney's office has 20
Assistant County Attorneys for whom the elected County
Attorney should provide leadership.
Hogan points out “I have experience applying
management training from a Fortune 500 company and
on the Nashua Board of Education. That experience and
training will service the County Attorney position well.”
“The culture of any organization moves from the top down
while allowing good ideas to move from the bottom up.
My management style of focusing on communicating,
being energetic, and positive will eventually be reflected
in the County Attorneys office and benefiting the entire
justice system.”
